The Northern Virginia Film Festival  is the first step in achieving the goals of the Foundation.

The Northern Virginia Film Festival was founded in 2009 to provide a creative outlet for aspiring filmmakers to screen their work and have it critiqued by talented judges.  Open to all age groups, the Northern Virginia Film Festival accepts entries in six categories:

1.        Feature

2.        Short

3.        Documentary

4.        Animation

5.      Music Video

6.        Experimental

In its first year, the Festival will concentrate exclusively on screening and judging films, but beginning in 2010, the Festival will feature a wide variety of educational opportunities as well.  We foresee a day in the near future when the Northern Virginia Film Festival will be the go-to locale for aspiring filmmakers and experienced industry professionals to improve their craft, network with fellow artists, and see their dreams come alive on the screen.
